Danielle
Danielle has been a volunteer with the DOVES program
since July 2010. She was immediately drawn in by the
chance to work with horses and be a mentor to kids of all
ages. Because she has been homeschooled most of her
life she had no problem taking advantage of this great
opportunity. She has loved animals throughout her life
and enjoys volunteering to educate others about them.
Previously she volunteered in the Micke Grove Zoo
Ambassador Program (ZAP) where she cared for animals
and educated both children and adults. Following her work
in the ZAP she continued on to volunteer in the Keeper’s
Aid Program at the same zoo. She graduated from
Connecting Waters Charter School in May of 2011 and
has continued on to community college. In 2008 she
discovered her love of Marine Biology and would like to go
into that field professionally in the future.
