Anna
Anna works full time for the State as an Environmental Scientist
and has experience volunteering with a therapeutic horseback
riding program in Elk Grove, volunteering at the Oakland Zoo and
Steinhart Aquarium, and working with wildlife and educating
children at the Lindsey Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek.
Anna has been around horses all of her life and loves to ride. She
enjoys working with horses and kids and finds it so rewarding to
watch the kids faces light up and the smiles from ear to ear when
they are riding. “It is so fulfilling to see a student when they first
arrive for their lesson, and they may be apprehensive or aren’t
having the best day, and they get on the horse to ride and start
smiling and talking and are having the best time. To watch the kids
end their session on such a positive note is such a great feeling.”
Anna is looking forward to the 2012 sessions and helping with fund
raising events for the Program.
